Our History Office Furniture Resources
Office Furniture Resources (OFR) was founded in 1991 by the husband and wife team of Tom and Suzanne Quinlan. Suzanne’s executive financial expertise in the corporate real estate industry, coupled with Tom’s 15 years of warehouse managerial experience with a Chicago Steelcase office furniture dealership, provided a solid foundation upon which to build a successful business.
Our Story
At the outset, OFR’s focus was on providing cost-effective, efficient decommission (removal) of commercial office furniture in the Chicago, IL market. We wholesaled decommissioned furniture to used office furniture dealers both locally and nationwide. As the liquidation volume increased, OFR added other channels for repurposing unwanted office furniture including retail store locations, a robust outside sales force, and charity partnerships.
We grew to become one of the Midwest’s largest office furniture liquidators, and a full-service office furniture dealership offering New, Used and Refurbished office furniture at value prices.
OFR has over 200,000 square feet of warehouse and operations in Illinois and Wisconsin, including our OFR Refab operations in Des Plaines, IL where we perform much of our own systems refurbishment work. OFR’s office furniture decommission business tackles some of the most complex and large-scale commercial real estate projects in the region. It is the engine that supplies its retail locations, wholesale dealers, and customers with a continuous flow of high quality pre-owned office furniture.
Office Furniture Resources is a certified Woman Owned Small Business by the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration.
